First details about the successor models of Xiaomi’s 13 series, which the company introduced in China at the end of last year and globally in February, have started to emerge. Despite the launch being far away, there is another development regarding the Xiaomi 14 series.
The codenames of the Xiaomi 14 series have been revealed
Digital Chat Station, known for leaking information in the industry, shared the codenames of the upcoming Xiaomi 14 series. According to the leak, the standard model of the series will be called “Houji,” and the Pro model will be named “Shennong.” It is worth noting that these names are based on Chinese mythology.
Xiaomi will feature the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor in the series. The processor, which will be introduced with the model number SM8650, will have the codename “Pineapple.” The new chipset will utilize a 2+3+2+1 core architecture. In this architecture, there will be two ARM “silver” cores codenamed “Hayes” (A5xx), three ARM “gold” cores codenamed “Hunter” (A7xx), two ARM “titanium” cores also codenamed “Hunter” (A7xx), and one ARM “gold Plus” core codenamed “Hunter ELP” (Xn).
Xiaomi 14 will come with a 6.44-inch 1.5K resolution C7 OLED panel. The display will have a hole-punch design and a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the device’s selfie camera will offer 4K recording capability.
